WSOP Online Poker Games to Launch on 9/19 at 9:19 AM
Nevada poker enthusiasts will finally have another cloud-based real-money poker site available, as WSOP.com officially announced that the site is set to go live on September 19, 2013 at 9:19 am.
The launching of WSOP.com is a highly awaited event as many of Nevada’s avid but unsatisfied poker fans are still looking for an alternative but legal online venue that has more poker variation and better technological capabilities than Nevada’s first legal interactive poker site, Ultimate Poker. Thus, the probability that the response would be tremendous is more than likely.
Although WSOP previously launched a pre-registration campaign among participants in the 2013 World Series of Poker Tournaments held at the Rio Convention Center, many of the registrants are not residents of Nevada.
To avoid a repeat of the confusion that occurred during the preregistration, WSOP.com gave a heads up about the site’s current offerings and some its present limitations:
Would be registrants should be physically situated within Nevada’s territorial jurisdiction; the same goes for those already registered as members who will be logging in to access the real money poker games.
Game choices currently available for real money play include Omaha, Omaha High/Low, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud High/Low and Texas Hold’em.
Gaming platform for Mac clients is available.
Mobile applications to support smart phone and other types of mobile devices are not yet obtainable.
Current deposit and withdrawal options at hand are limited to Visa, Mastercard and ACH; the cashier’s cages at Caesar’s Entertainment are no longer included as part of the deposit payment system.
The WSOP “Online Nine Championship” events are slated to kickoff on October 25, 2013.
