Weight loss is achieved by dietary and lifestyle changes. Moderate diet plans together with physical exercise result in losing weight and improving health. Enhanced intake of fiber rich foods is recommended. People who wish to lose weight with dietary changes should exclude the intake of foods like fried items, junk and spicy foods and sodas. Normally, low carbohydrate and low fat diet together with physical exercise has been proven to reduce weight.
There are other methods of intentional weight loss namely Surgery, drugs and dietary supplements. Even though dietary supplements and drugs are widely used, they are not considered a healthy choice for weight loss. Only a few of those drugs and supplements provide a long term effect. Surgery is recommended in severe cases to reduce the size of the stomach in order to limit the quantity of intake.
