Coral, one of England’s extensive high street bookmakers, is now running its online and retail betting facilities through “Coral Connect”, a multi-channel solution furnished by UK gaming software developer and solutions provider, Playtech.
The upgrade is touted as unprecedented as Coral is the first UK bookmaker to use a system that unifies all betting and gaming platforms into one structure. It allows customers to access both online and retail products, game offerings and services, using a single betting account. The betting agency’s new feature is now fully operational for online or mobile gambling and in Fixed-Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs) in any of Coral’s 1,800 retail outlets across UK.
“Corral Connect” likewise employs Playtech’s Information Management Solution (IMS) for all online and betting shop operations, which synchronizes Coral’s back office module with its retail operating systems. The IMS integration permits a centralized management of the bookmaker’s products, channels and payment processing services. Thus, every Coral customer’s online and FOBT betting activities, as well as online and over-the-counter deposit and/or withdrawal transactions, can be viewed in its entirety by the bookmaker’s cloud-based and shop-based operators; regardless if such activities took place online, in mobile devices or in betting shops.
Andy Hornby, Chief Executive of Coral declared that multi-channeling is the main focus of their development, for which they have taken a step forward by incorporating Playtech’s multi-channel solutions. Playtech COO Shay Segev, on the other hand, is quite proud of this latest achievement as it enhances the software company’s reputation as innovations leader in the world of gambling and gaming entertainment.
