EnvironmentPeru and the US Discuss the Environment

In a series of meetings including the Forest Sector Governance Sub-Committee, Environmental Affairs Council and the ECC took place this week in D.C.  Peru and the U.S. went over how Peru handles wildlife laws in respect to educating and notifying local communities.  Peru is trying to pass new legislation for forestry and wildlife and is highly committed in doing so.

A work program for 2011-2014 was approved by the Environmental Cooperation Commission.  The ECC is agreed to quantifying efforts on the implementing of the annex.  A public session was held to notify those with a stake and to answer questions about the implementation process.
