PartyPoker Goes Social by Revamping Website

PartyPoker

Bwin’s PartyPoker.com has taken a bold step by departing from being a regular online poker room into becoming a poker social network site. The new software for its website has features that give the real money-gambling environment the elements of a social gaming network. Apparently, PartyPoker aims to build a community of poker players in a Facebook-like venue.

What’s New at the PartyPoker  website?

At PartyPoker, users can now add friends to their “friends list” and get to see what they are currently up to, as well as know the poker events or tournaments they joined and won.

In fact, the site has a virtual mascot named “Lucky Jack” who acts as a PartyPoker game tutor, site tour guide, and a go-between among site users wanting to make friends with somebody they think they know, or would like to know. “Lucky Jack” will connect users through friend requests or friend recommendations, based on the similarity of games played and characteristics of people added as friends.

Another new feature is the “Mission” or a set of goals to achieve that involves playing at real money tables, which users can add to their playing activities and complete at their own pace. Most of the “Missions” comes with a reward once a player gets to complete the objective. Rewards are in the form of cash, points, bonuses and tournament tickets or dollars. Any of which, will be automatically added to a mission-taker’s account once he or she has completed the task.

Social gaming has arrived at the new PartyPoker website, as users can now interact or bond with peers who are real money poker players just like them.
