Maryland Live! Casino, one of America’s largest and successful gambling and entertainment destinations, could resolve the unemployment problem faced by some of Atlantic Club’s (AC) soon-to-be displaced 1,600 workers. Rob Norton, President and Gen. Manager of Maryland Live!, conveyed hopes of being able to lessen the impact of the workers’ ill-fated job loss, by hiring additional employees coming from AC’s pool of qualified staff.
In line with this goal, Maryland Live! is set to hold a series of job fairs in Atlantic City, the first of which will be at the Atlantic Club Ballroom on January 06 and 07, 2014 (9:00 am to 6:00 pm) before the AC Casino closes for good on January 13, 2014. The second event is scheduled on January 08 and 09, 2014 (9:00 am to 1:00 pm) at the Sheraton Atlantic City.
Maryland Live! has various job openings across all departments, from table game dealers, to slot attendants, food and beverage servers, help desk technicians, surveillance operators and a host of other positions to fill in. Interested applicants who are 21 years or older, are encouraged to register online and check out the available job positions before the scheduled job fairs, as doing so would expedite the processing of their application.
Qualified candidates will be filling in positions for Maryland Live’s facility at the Arundel Mills Mall, in Hanover MD, which is situated midway between Baltimore and Washington. It operates 24/7 and is usually open 365 days a year.
