Legos have been a worldwide sensation since they first hit the market in the late 1940’s. These small plastic interlocking building blocks have become more than a child’s toy and into a new medium for sculptures. They even have a theme park in California featuring rides and more made from the little bricks, and it became so popular that they decided to build another one. Legoland has announced that its new location in Winter Haven, Florida will open on October 15th of 2011. The new park will be the world’s largest, and boasts more than 50 rides, roller coasters and race cars, as well as more family-centric shows and entertainment. There are choices for everyone, and kids of all ages will enjoy visiting the factory to see how Legos are made. More information is available on the park’s website.
