Last month, Ladbrokes has announced that it has sponsored the top-flight football club from Spain, Espanyol. It achieved that through its subsidiary in the Spanish market, LBapuestas. Only one month after this announcement, the British based gambling group has struck the same deal with another Spanish football club, Valencia CF.
Despite no official statements by either party, reports indicate that the British based gambling firm is going to be the official betting partner for the ninety-three years old sporting club for the upcoming 2012-2013 season.
Last February, the gambling group based in Harrow, Ladbrokes, extended its deal of sponsorship of the St. Leger horse race. It extended the existing years to cover three more years. This would make it the official backer of one of the oldest five Classic races in the United Kingdom for this whole decade.
The new sponsorship deal is aiming to intensify and strengthen the existence of the gambling group in the newly opened and regulated internet sportbetting market of Spain. Ladbrokes have chosen one of the best sporting clubs in Spain as Valencia has won La Liga of Spain for 6 times. The last time was 8 years ago in 2004. Last season it finished in third place with a difference of thirty nine points from first place which was secured by the champion of La Liga, Real Madrid.
