Everyone has noticed the recent rise in gas prices, and there seems to be no end in sight as to when they are going to stop rising. While many consumers are used to prices rising around the holidays and to reflect spring and summer vacations, few are used to them rising for no reason. Many people are adjusting their summer plans, as well as their budgets to reflect the unexpected price increase. While New York and Los Angeles have reputations for having some of the highest prices in the country, for once they cannot make that claim. One service station located in Orlando, Florida has reported gas prices on Friday, April 22, 2011 of $5.69 a gallon for regular, nearly two dollars higher than the average for the city. With prices continuing to rise and the summer yet to officially arrive, there is no telling how high they will end up getting.
