Flickr Introduces New Browser-Based Image Uploader For Google Android 2.2 Users

Google Android 2.2 (AKA Froyo) users are now allowed to upload and share images from their mobile to Flickr website without the help of an app. Flickr has introduced a new browser based-photo uploader for all Froyo users.

Flickr does not have a mobile app for the Android handsets, but the Yahoo’s popular photo-sharing site has finally launched a new development on their website to improve support for Android browser. Flickr said:

“If we see that you’re coming from an Android 2.2 device, we’ll give you an upload link right on the Flickr homepage. This takes you to our mobile upload page where you will now see the option to simply ‘Choose a file.’ Selecting this button gives you access to your photo gallery, where you can conveniently select the photo you like to upload and then send it to Flickr via the ‘Upload’ button.”

Unfortunately, the new feature is only available e to users on Android 2.2 based devices. Android 2.2 smartphone users can now try the new browser-based image uploader by heading to m.flickr.com.
