Energizer unveiled a new iPhone silicon case that has a capability to protect and charges the battery of your iPhone at the same time.
The new “Energizer AP1201 Case” features two charging options: a high speed battery charging mode which charges the phone first, then the case, and secondly the simultaneous pass-through charging using a USB cable.
Jim Olsen, Vice President of Marketing for Energizer North America, said in a press release:
“Energizer appreciates the value and utility that smartphones offer consumers, and also sees that the average consumer’s power requirements have been underestimated. The AP1201 is a direct response to the power deficit that many experience, and is just one of a full line of Energizer Energi To Go solutions that is bringing convenient power to consumers, and that is making mobility easier for them.”
The AP1201, made from recycled silicon rubber, is rechargeable up to 500 charges and comes with smart LED monitors, as well as an ability to detect and automatically charge the battery of the iPhone 4. The case is capable to keep and monitor voltage, temperature, and current.
The iPhone 4 case was designed to be slip resistant and ward off finger marks and will come with an integrated bumper which alleviates users from the troublesome death-grip/antennagate issue.
The Energizer AP1201 is available for $69.99 at all major retailers nationwide.
