Black Eyed Peas ‘I Gotta Feeling’

The Black Eyed Peas successfully dominate the stage and online media. The hip hop group’s hit song I Gotta Feeling, ranked as the top-selling iTunes track of all time, created a new milestone and now become the first song to be legally downloaded more than 6 million times.

The top-hitting song was released last June 2009 and immediately took the title as the most downloadable song on iTunes and other digital download services. The song has been downloaded about once every five seconds since it was first made available.

“I am so proud to be leading our industry with 6 million digital sales. It means so much for the future of the music industry,” said Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am in a statement.

The band and the song ‘I Gotta Feeling’ has made music history all around. Aside from being the most popular digital download ever, I Gotta Feeling spent 14 weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard charts, a record. That, combined with the group’s other hit Boom Boom Pow, spent a combined 26 consecutive weeks at the top spot, another record.

The song official music video on YouTube has been viewed more than 36 million times, while Boom Boom Pow is over 64 million. It is now clears that the Black Eyed Peas captured both live and digital audience.
