Apple iOS 4.2 Brought New Features To iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

CEO Steve Jobs announced that in November this year the company will release the higjly anticipated new iOS 4.2 firmware update for its iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to allow its users to experience multitasking. But Apple recently released a beta version of the iOS 4.2 to its registered developers to download.

Everyone are so excited for the new firmware update, apple said that the iOS 4.2 will add support for multitasking on its touchscreen tablet PC, as well as other iOS 4.x features that iPad users have had to do without up until now. Users can now efficiently organize their file in “folders,” for long lacks the Aplle’s OS are now available in the update.

Additional features of the iOS 4.2 are:

  • Air Print – new printing architecture of the device that has a capability to locate or track wireless printers on your network to print photos and documents without even installing additional software.
  • AirPlay – Similar to AirPrint, users can stream media over a wireless network. However, this feature will only work with certain software and hardware, such as AppleTV or other Apple product over a home network.
  • New Safari Web Browser – The Safari had a minor makeover with text search options on each page and the pages icon now shows the number of pages which are currently open.

Apple users can now download the Apple iOS 4.2 at developer.apple.com.
