The parent company of 888 Poker has entered a new agreement which is its 2nd one with a gaming firm based in the United States. 888 Holdings Plc is aiming to expand the reach for its free to play online website as the British based company is expanding in more markets.
This deal was with WMS Gaming Inc. According to the terms and conditions of this deal, the U.S gaming firm, WMS Gaming is going to offer the poker platform of 888 Poker to the land based American casino firms. It will start off being free to play for fun games and will be for real money as soon as a state by state or a nationwide legalization of online gambling occurs. The financial details related to this deal were not announced.
The two firms have already applied to earn an interactive gaming license in the state of Nevada and they are currently getting investigated by the state of Nevada. This investigation is a routine investigation that has to be done before the state gives the needed license to any operators to operate legally within the state. Until now, the Gaming board of the state of Nevada hasn’t made any announcements and it hasn’t released the agenda of the July Meeting.
This is the second deal of this kind as in 2011, 888 has entered an agreement with Caesars Interactive Entertainment. This deal stated that 888 would support and provide the gaming company based in Vegas with the needed security features, software and equipment in order to run online gambling operation in the U.K.
